Seminar on Organizing an International Conference: IEEE Guidelines

The Faculty of Science and Engineering, IEEE Student Branch and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Green University of Bangladesh organized a seminar on “Organizing an International Conference: IEEE Guidelines” on Wednesday, 21 August, 2019 at IQAC Auditorium (Room No. A-302), GUB. Faculty members of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Executive Committee Members of IEEE Student Branch and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter, Green University of Bangladesh were the participants of this session.

Honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of GUB, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Fayyaz Khan, was the chief guest at the session and delivered his valuable speech how will be we benefited from the seminar. He also commented that the topic of the seminar was very timely and important to us, especially who will play the key roles in the upcoming international conference entitled “International Conference on Sustainable Technologies for Industry 4.0 (STI) 2019”. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, GUB and Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, SMIEEE and Associate Prof., Dept. of EEE, AIUB delivered keynote speeches in the seminar.

Prof. Dr. Abdur Razzaque, Honorable Dean of FSE, GUB and Keynote Speaker of the session delivered his speeches and presented the technical details of an IEEE conference including Initiating an IEEE conference, Responsibilities of Technical Program Committee and Publication Committee such as Plagiarism, Paper Submission System, Review, Award and Program Plan Copyright issues, PDFeXpress, Onsite and Online Proceeding Preparation etc

Another keynote speaker of the session Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain covered all other majored points in his valuable speech including Registration system, Financial Management, Venue Preparation, Inaugural Ceremony, Kit Production and Distribution, Volunteers Planning and Deployments, Communications and Promotions, Visa Processing, Site-tour, Co-located events, Tutorial, Workshops, Conference Banquet, Breakfast/ Lunch, any cultural part at the Closing Ceremony etc.

Respected Chairpersons & faculty members of different departments, IT Director, Librarian and Branch Counselor of GUB were present at the session and their glorious presence has enriched the session. The honorable chief guest of the session handed over the crest to the keynote speaker Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain. Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Branch Counselor of IEEE Student Branch and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter of Green University of Bangladesh started the session by welcoming all participants and guests.  Prof. Dr. Nitai Chandra Sutradhar, Distinguished Prof. & Chairperson, Dept. of TE, GUB chaired the session.
