Education 4.0 – Ways to move ahead with Innovative Technology (EDU 4.0 Tech)
Our dependence on technology and innovation in the age of industrial revolution 4.0 is exponentially increasing. The COVID-19 has revealed, how technology can support the whole education system of the world. The advanced educational technologies were knocking at the door but we were unware! The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed us to the limit to explore the Education 4.0. The present education system demands university graduates to be ready to accept the challenges for blending with technology by incorporating their visualization, connectivity, creativity, and innovation. Industrial Revolution demands an education system targeting on innovation era in which teachers will be more liberal to make their learners self-determined. This concept creates the revolution in education which is known as Education 4.0 emphasizing on parallelism, connectivism, visualization, and production of knowledge rather than instructivism only. In Education 4.0, creativity, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving, decision making, working together, and emotional intelligence are the significant components that have to be blended with technology which is recently known as “Technogogy”. Therefore, within an age of innovation, can education without technology be the way of teaching in the universities anymore?
STI 2020 realizes the importance of smart education or prioritizing technology in education as the educational platform needs to get ready concerning the needs and demands of industries and employers in the age of industrial revolution 4.0. STI 2020 welcomes teachers, action researchers, educational professionals, and practitioners to exhibit their scientific reasoning and sustainable creative developments and initiatives in the fields of education and educational technology. STI 2020 will be held during 19-20 December 2020 at the permanent campus of Green University of Bangladesh, Purbachal American City, Dhaka, Bangladesh. We are seeking original high-quality innovative research for submissions. All submissions to STI 2020 will be double-blind peer-reviewed. Accepted and presented papers will be sent for publication in the IEEE Explore digital library. Papers presenting original research are being sought within following topics:
● Virtual Professor: AI and Machine Learning in Education
● Technology in Higher Education
● Technological Capacity Development Initiatives
● Teachers Preparation and Tech.Edu
● Technology in Education and for Education
● Education in Pandemic Situation
● Future Prospects of Online Education
● Online Education and Our Social Context
● SDG and Online Education
● Blended Learning Challenges and Future Prospects
● STEM Education
● Education 4.0 and Engineering Education
● Education 4.0 – Ways to move ahead with Technology (EDU 4.0 Tech)
● Industrial revolution and education formation
EDUNIOUS- 4.0 – Finding the better solution for education
The pandemic has created the largest disruption in education systems in history. Several universities in Bangladesh have postponed learning and teaching until remoter notice due to several challenges. To overcome these challenges the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) at GUB is going to initiate an event of idea-sharing titled EDUNIOUS- 4.0 – Finding the better solution for education to discuss and uncover the solution with the promised support of implementation. This event is an integrated part of STI 2020 Education 4.0. We are welcoming the innovative thoughts and considerations through unique projects which can bring new treatments within the education system and jump on to be the next EDUNIOUS!!!
The competition will happen online and within 2 rounds. In between these two rounds, project screening will be done by the honorable committee members. In the first round, Registration and project submission ( including pictures /videos if the project is in progress). In the screening phase, the projects will be evaluated and progressed to the final stage. The best 8 groups will be battling against each other within the final round. Be informed that projects which are in the implementation stage will get priority.
The Winning projects will get 6 months of strategic support from the Center of Excellence for Teaching and Learning (CETL) for implementing the project including prize money. All the team reaching the final round will receive a token of appreciation (T-Shirt and mask for each member).

Poster Presentation Guidelines:
We are happy to share with you that for the virtual version of the STI 2020, we have planned an
exciting innovative arrangement of poster presentations.
There will be a 2-hour poster session on the second day (20 Dec) where all the presenters will have their 5 mins video presentations, recorded before and displayed on a web portal. Each video record will have a link to the poster and link to the virtual room number where the presenter would be available. An audience can check out the video, the poster, and can meet the presenter in the specific virtual room for detailed conversations. All the participants hence are required to be present in the room from 30 mins prior to the very end of the session. A panel of 20+ expert members will also roam around the virtual rooms for sharing their comments and suggestions in addition to evaluating the merit of the works. All the details of the session will be communicated to the presenters in time.
Your presentation video (5 min) and a single page poster should cover the KEY POINTS of your work. The ideal video and poster are designed to:
- Attract attention of the audience
- Provide a brief overview of your work
- Initiate discussion and questions
- Communicate the key contributions in brief
Once registration of your poster paper is completed, please upload your poster and video(5 min) link through http://fse.green.edu.bd/sti-2020/poster-paper-submission OR send to rushad.it@green.edu.bd and keep cc to shihav@eee.green.edu.bd mentioning the paper ID by 30 November 2020
The title of your poster should appear at the top in CAPITAL letters about 25mm (1″) high. Use color to highlight and make your poster more attractive including pictures, diagrams, cartoons, figures, etc., wherever possible rather than only texts. The author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s) are to be put below the title.
There will be three "Best Poster Paper" awards for authors presenting their works. The posters will be reviewed by a panel of judges who will not only take into account the quality of the display but also the content of the work by asking a series of questions to the author(s). It is, therefore, necessary to be as ready for your poster presentation in your designated virtual room as you would be for an oral presentation.
Please note that your presented paper will be included in the STI conference proceedings but won't be published in the IEEE Xplore digital library.
All the registered poster paper presenters are entitled to:
- Have their papers published in the STI 2020 Proceedings
- Get constructive suggestions and feedback from the experts in the field
- Compete for the Best poster paper award (prize money + certificates)
- Receive an attractive set of Conference Kits
- Access to all the keynotes, technical sessions, tutorial and workshops
