IEEE Student Branch Green University of Bangladesh along with IEEE Computer Society GUB Student Branch Chapter has celebrated the IEEE Day 2019 on Thursday, 10th October 2019 at Permanent Campus of Green University of Bangladesh. The event was made more attractive by including Technical Quiz Competition, Keynote Speech: Tech Talk on Future of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, Cake cutting, Grand Rally, Forming Human IEEE and so on

Different Moments of the Events

Honorable Pro vice-chancellor of GUB, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque presented as the Chief Guest of this event. He focused on benefits of getting IEEE membership in his speech. He also mentions that he feels proud to be a member of the world largest technical professional organization IEEE. He motivates the participants in his speech to stand under the umbrella of IEEE.

Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Farhan Ahmed, Chairperson of Dept. of CSE delivers a tech talk on future of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Ms. Umme Rman, Campus Director of permanent campus of GUB inspires the participants to join with extracurricular activities along with academic activities. Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Branch Counselor of IEEE student Branch and IEEE Computer Society GUB Student Branch Chapter represents the theme of IEEE Day 2019 in his speech. He dedicates the event for the students of the Permanent campus of GUB.

He mentions that the IEEE Day’s theme is: “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow”. While the world benefits from what’s new, IEEE focuses on what’s next. The celebration of IEEE Day 2019 is the 10th year celebrating this historic event! He inspires to all IEEE young volunteers to think something different and to make something new to ensure the better tomorrow.

More than 100 of students, IEEE volunteers and Faculty members from the different departments were present to enhance the glory and color of the events. At the end of the event, the honorable chief guest celebrates the IEEE Day 2019 by cake cutting along with all gusts, faculty members and IEEE volunteers. The event was concluded and chaired by Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Farhan Ahmed, Chairperson of Dept. of CSE.
